Our Story

We are a community of God’s people who love God, love each other, and love to serve the needy. Our journey dates back to 1988 when our fellowship began as a small group of God-loving Christians. That’s when we got the name Good News from our desire to share with everyone that Jesus is alive; He forgives sin, and He pours out blessing on all those who belong to him. Ever since then, we haven’t looked back. We have developed  friendships with churches in Goa, in our nation and across the world. And this world wide family of local churches, whose unity is based on relationship, not denomination, is known as New Frontiers. This has been our story so far, and we would love to get to know yours.

Our Vision

To be a living expression of Christ’s Church: God’s people – Living God’s way – Advancing God’s Kingdom.

We aim to be: deeper through worship, closer through fellowship, stronger through discipleship, and wider through service.

What we believe

  • God the Father who made the world and who loves and cares for us.
  • God the Son, Jesus Christ, who lived on earth and died on the cross to take away the sins of the world.    He rose again from the dead and is alive today.
  • God the Holy Spirit who inspires all Christians and enables them to do God’s will in the world.
  • God’s active involvement in the world today through his Church. Our work, together with other Christians, is to spread together the good news of salvation through Jesus and to encourage others to discover God’s love and His purposes for their lives. The Church as a family, which is why we love to be together on a Sunday with all ages, including children.

What we do

  • Our aim is to equip every single Christian through discipleship and relationship to show Christ to the world.
  • Prayer is an important part of Church life. We pray: as a church, in homes, in intercessory groups, and in extended times of prayer and fasting.
  • Strengthen society through youth events, parenting workshops, marriage courses, leadership development, and crisis helpline.
  • Organize discipleship and training schools of biblical studies, worship, prophecy, and creativity.
  • Meet in home groups midweek at members homes to study God’s word and encourage each other.
  • We aim to show the love, power and compassion of Jesus to the poor and needy in practical ways.
